Bourbon War 6 Year, the third of nine limited, annual releases in Pinhook’s Bourbon Vertical Series, is a 6-year-old bourbon blended from 120 barrels originally sourced from MGP and aged at Castle & Key in Frankfort, KY. Distilled from a mash bill of 75% corn, 20.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley, aromas of brown sugar, licorice, and toasted almond abound; the subtle notes of smoke and honey exhibited by the previous, 5-year vintage have developed into a sultry palate of black cherry, clove, and Tahitian vanilla. Non-chill filtered.
